Da Nang Beach Music Festival

Two nights of music on My Khe Beach — a sea-facing stage, more than 15,000 spectators each night, and a Flyboard-and-flare finale over the water.

My Khe Beach, Da Nang
Act 01 · The brief we were given

The organisers wanted a music festival on two consecutive nights, staged on My Khe Beach itself, for more than 15,000 spectators a night. The hardest requirement: the stage had to face straight out to sea to catch the sunset, while the audience area at the water's edge stayed safe at all times.

  • Service group: Full-service events
  • Location: My Khe Beach, Da Nang
Act 02

Concept & storyline

“When the sea is the stage”

Instead of treating the water as a backdrop, the narrative made it the lead character. The music opened with the sunset, peaked once darkness fell as the Flyboard riders lifted off the water in time with the set, and closed with flares reflecting across the waves — the audience standing between two stages, one on land, one on the sea.

Act 03

Running order on the night

  1. 17:30

Doors open — DJ warm-up, spectators enter the beach area through four separate lanes

  2. 18:20

Sunset opening — acoustic set on the sea-facing stage

  3. 19:10

Main artist block — three back-to-back sets, the two LED wings running their own visuals

  4. 20:45

Peak — Flyboard riders perform to the music directly in front of the stage

  5. 21:00

Finale — Flyboard and flares over the water, every light turned out to sea
